Veterinary Receptionist

You will be responsible for assisting veterinary staff in examining and monitoring animal patients, performing administrative tasks, and maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in the exam and operating rooms. Our ideal candidate is willing to learn new skills and develop their talents as an assistant. You must have a passion for caring for animals and excellent customer service skills. Team members must possess good critical thinking & problem solving skills, multitasking and accepting constructive criticism is essential, punctuality is expected.

Duties include:
-Handling animals during exams & surgical procedures
-Assist in collecting samples such as blood or urine for testing
-Administer medications & fill prescriptions
-Answer and triage phone calls
-Schedule appointments & surgeries
-Educate clients on general pet care
-Clean and sterilize instruments & equipment
-Ensure exam and operating rooms are stocked & sterilized

You will be an essential part of our veterinary team, responsible for providing outstanding customer service and support to pet owners. Your core skills in and veterinary medicine will be crucial as you manage phone triage and ensure a smooth workflow in our clinic. Team members must possess good critical thinking and problem solving skills, compassion, a positive attitude, and excellent communication skills. Multitasking and accepting constructive criticism is essential, punctuality is expected.

-Provide excellent customer service

-Work compassionately & patiently with distressed, frustrated or disgruntled clients
-Schedule all appointments & surgeries
-Check-in clients & bring them into exam rooms
-Fill prescriptions
-Process payment transactions
-Educate clients on general pet care
-Clean and disinfect animal cages, exam rooms, & treatment areas
